Free Museum Day

A couple days ago we headed to the Field Museum to meet up with Erin and Roy to enjoy the Free Day! Obviously Max doesn't get what everything is, but he sure enjoyed the open space to run free and escape his shoes!

My Favorite!

Max has started this obsession with being on the counter at all times, whether that's in the kitchen or the bathroom. Today I indulged him and let him play in the sink while I got ready for the day. This picture says it all..I'm sure he could stay here all day!

Soup!

I'm so happy that Max has never had an issue with eating. Anything I put in front of him, he is sure to at least try, but most like devour. A few nights ago he was enjoying his Tortilla soup and decided his bread would be better served as an eating utensil. We all know bread is better when dipped in soup...right?

Pre-Pre-Preschool

I know, I know, there isn't such a thing!  Today was Max's first day at our Toddler class where Max might one day attend REAL preschool.  It's a Montessori school and I really didn't know what to expect.  Most of the time the kids just spend "discovering" the toys and interacting with each other.  At the end a little clean up time, song and dance, and we are out the door!  The teacher asked that I record observations about Max during his time at the school.  In my head I immediately went to "is this lady for real?"  After I got over myself and opened my mind a little bit, this is what I observed.

Max is getting really good at vocalizing sounds of objects or animals he knows.  He's got a mean RRROOOARR and a cute RUFF RUFF under his belt.

Why Do We Live In Chicago?

I ask myself this question many times during the month of January when we experience temperatures maxing out in the teens and 20's. Saturday we decided to throw frostbite to the wind and break in our new park behind our house, that was completed and opened (conveniently) during a week of snowstorms in December.

Max really did enjoy himself even though you can't really see the larger part of his face due to the many layers I demanded he wear. We love the snow, but are looking forward to warmer days!
