Down on the Farm

Our first stop in Colorado was to venture to the SouthEast corner to visit my grandma, cousins, aunts and uncle, who all live on a real live working farm!  I was super excited to see what Max would think of all the animals because he goes crazy making animal sounds whenever he sees them on TV.  I should have known, but all he was interested in were the dogs.  Oh well...I had a blast and it was great being in the middle of no where and getting some fresh air!

My cousin breeds Golden Retrievers and happened to have 2 litters while we were there. Max and Samantha checking them out.
Max chasing Snickers (another dog)
In the pen with some of the older puppies, clearly not interested anymore.
Really not interested anymore.  After the novelty of the puppies wore off he was more interested in the mama and daddy dogs...which all seemed to love pushing Max down in the dirt and using him as a play toy.
Riding along while the cows eat.
Checking out the pig pins.
Last attempt at playing with the puppies.  The wood chips were more fun.

I love the farm!

Lollipop, Lollipop, oh Lolli Lollipop...

I was testing different things to see what would keep Max busy, happy, entertained, etc. through the plane ride to Colorado.  Guess which was the winner...

Tired

This is what happens when I leave to run errands during naptime...daddy let's Max sleep on the couch (with boots still on).

All Set and Ready For Colorado....

Now, only if I could find where Max is hiding

(Colorado pictures to come...)

We Love the Zoo

And especially the gorillas

Could It Be Spring?

We've had some nice days lately. I took these pictures a few weeks back, but they are so fun to look at and watch Max enjoying the sunshine. He has also become slightly obsessed with finding "woof woofs" (dogs) every time we go outside.

My Boys

Max has always been a snuggly little guy and I thought it would have worn off by now, but he will usually snuggle with me on the couch for about 20 minutes each evening.  He doesn't do it much with George, but the other day he actually tolerated George laying next to him....I love these guys!

An apple a Day...

Doesn't keep the doctor away.  Max had his 15 month check up today.  All is good in the toddler world, except an additional 3 shots...boo!  I can't believe how many shots these kids have to get before the age of 2.  Anyway, here are the stats:

22 lbs 6 oz
31 inches
head size = off the charts!
